Caring for your jewelry
Our chains are in 14 carat gold filled gold, rhodium silver or 18 carat gold.
What is gold filled?
Gold-filled is an English-speaking legal designation for silversmithing. It is a solid envelope of gold which is affixed by heat or by pressure on a metallic base.
All our stones are natural stones, which explains why their shapes and colors may vary.
Maison Valencourt jewelry, handcrafted, is fragile. Here are our recommendations for keeping them in good condition.
Maintenance
- Avoid contact with beauty products such as perfume, tanning oils or beauty creams.
- Avoid sea water and swimming pools as much as possible. However, if you cannot remove your jewelry before swimming, be sure to rinse it well and especially dry it afterwards.
Clean your jewelry
- Use a dry cloth or one soaked in a product to clean the jewellery.
- To avoid knots on your jewelry, we advise you to leave part of your chain outside the pouch.
Repairs
- Small accidents can happen. Your jewel is guaranteed for six months, if you wish to send it to us, be sure to write us an email at the address contact@maisonvalencourt.com, with the invoice of your purchase and a photo of the product. We will respond to you as soon as possible to provide you with a solution.
